John Wesley’s New Room, The Horsefair

The New Room has been a venue for people to meet and engage with since John Wesley opened the building in 1739. The offer of hospitality continues today with four distinct spaces available for hire on the site: the 18th century chapel; the 21st century Horsefair Courtyard building and atrium space; and two dedicated meeting rooms; The Horsefair Room which can accommodate up to 50 people and the Chapel Meeting Room which can accommodate up to 8 people.

Broadmead Baptist Church, Union Street (Opposite Poundland)

Broadmead Baptist Church offers a fantastic range of spaces for hire at the very heart of the centre of Bristol.

Vestry – A boardroom style room with seating for up to 15 people; ideal for business meetings

Knibb Room – a medium sized meeting room that can comfortably seat 20

Marshman Room – a medium sized L-shaped room with a capacity of 40

Hiley Room – a larger meeting space with a capacity of 60, complete with hatch through to a kitchen area (also available for hire)

Waddelow Hall – a large hall space with seating capacity of 100. The room is multipurpose and is used throughout the week for college sports as well as lecture style events and choir rehearsals.

Sanctuary – the main church is also available for hire; a stunning space, which never fails to surprise visitors with its size and grandeur. The Sanctuary can seat up to 300, including balcony spaces. The sanctuary includes a grand piano and an amazing organ, making it perfect for recitals or concerts, as well as other community events.
