Christmas Temp needed at Card Shack

Job Summary
Card Shack is a small and independent Greetings card shop seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Christmas Temp to join their team during the busy Christmas season over December. As a Seasonal Associate, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service, assisting with sales, and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience for their customers. This position requires strong communication skills, organisational abilities, and a passion for helping others.

Shift Dates: Either 11.30-2.30pm / 12-3pm / 12.30-3.30pm

On days: Start Tuesday 10th Dec. Followed by 12th, 13th, 14th, 16th, 17th, 18th, 20th and 22nd December being the final shift.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly and assist them with their inquiries.
  • Engage with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored recommendations.
  • Upsell products and services effectively to enhance the customer experience.
  • Maintain an organised and tidy sales floor, ensuring products are displayed attractively.
  • Process transactions accurately and efficiently at the till.
  • Handle customer complaints or queries with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations.
  • Assist in stock management, including receiving deliveries and restocking shelves.

Experience

  • Previous retail or customer service experience is advantageous but not essential.
  • Basic maths skills for handling transactions and managing cash.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to upsell products and engage customers effectively.
  • Organisational skills to manage tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
