Broadmead XP (Playback Arcade, ART100 Gallery and Hoard Dungeons)

Broadmead XP is an experimental, collaborative space run by charity Artspace Lifespace and shared by Hoard Dungeons, Playback Arcade and ART100 Gallery.

Playback Arcade is run and owned by enthusiastic long-term gamers and friends, Mark and Nick. They love retro games and want to share what they love with as many people as possible, and so have set all their games to freeplay, with just a one off admission fee.

They have a fantastic selection of games available, including arcade machines, pinball machines, consoles, Japanese rhythm and party games, and even board games.

They’re located on the ground floor of The Galleries, just across from Boswells cafe.

ART100 Gallery

Keep Art It have opened a new gallery space in The Galleries.
No artwork over £100
No gatekeepers
Artworks are priced by colour at £50 for a green sticker, £75 for blue and £100 for red.
Artists are local and allowed to show 5 works for 4 weeks with 10% of all sales income going directly to charity.
They’d love you to come in and support your local cultural makers.

Hoard Dungeons

Hoard Dungeons was started in 2021 by a group of Role-play enthusiasts looking to create a gaming space where anyone and everyone can participate, learn and have fun while doing it. So, what do they actually do? Here at Hoard they host Role-playing games of many varieties (such as D&D, Pathfinder, Call of Cthulhu & Dread) board game nights and their tables can also be booked for Wargaming! Their Role playing nights range from one-shots to long running campaigns so if you’re an experienced adventurer or a first timer, they’ve got you covered.

Their custom Role-Playing & Wargaming tables (not to mention their vast collection of miniatures) will ensure you and your group have everything you need to have a captivating experience.

Their tables are also made locally from 100% recycled wood.
