South Gloucestershire and Stroud College
South Gloucestershire and Stroud College is located on the Galleries’ ground floor (by WHSmith) and offers an Employability course as well as employment support with the HOPE Agency.
This include 2 accredited courses:
-Pearson BTECLevel 1 Subsidiary Award, Award, Extended Award and Certificate in Workskills (selecting and applying for jobs, preparing for interviews and CV writing).
-NCFE Entry Level 3 Certificate in Exploring Employability Skills
HOPE Agency is a supported employment agency provided by South Gloucestershire and Stroud College (SGS). They work with clients who have learning difficulties/disabilities and/or mental health conditions to find and retain stable, long-term employment with inclusive companies in roles that match their skill set.
To register with HOPE Employment Agency you must be 16 plus and have a learning difficulty, learning disability or mental health condition and most importantly, have the desire to gain paid employment for at least 16 hours a week. You may have an EHC plan in place and have previously struggled with entering or maintaining employment.
Clients must live in Bristol, South Gloucestershire or Stroud and be able to travel and work independently.
