Shoppers at The Galleries can enjoy playing some free table tennis at a pop-up Ping Pong Parlour, which opened in February 2018.
Pop-up Ping Pong
To join in the fun, simply grab a bat from the side of the table and play – absolutely free of charge!
Colin Lang, Centre Manager, The Galleries says, “We’re delighted to have teamed up with the Ping! and Loop team at Table Tennis England, the sport’s National Governing Body, to bring this exciting project to life.”
Table Tennis England
Ping Pong Parlours have opened in several other shopping centres nationwide and form part of Table Tennis England’s vision to inspire people to get active and lead happier, healthier lifestyles by introducing table tennis into the places they already spend time in their everyday lives.
The other initiatives delivered by Table Tennis England helping to achieve this, include Ping!, the public street ping pong festival which bounces into 24 towns and cities every summer, and Loop which creates opportunities for workplaces, community venues and sports clubs to introduce table tennis.
