On Friday 8 February (just in time for Valentine’s Day), Lush are releasing Goddess, an evocative, enigmatic new perfume collection, comprising of exquisite oudh from responsibly managed nurseries in Thailand on a solid jojoba oil base. Smoky Caledonian sandalwood adds dark warmth to rich, resinous notes, while jasmine gives a sensual fragrance. Damascus rose, harvested in Turkish fields at dawn, brings just a hint of floral delicacy. The result is opulent and beguiling.
Five different products
The fragrance will be available in a traditional spray perfume (two sizes); a travel-friendly solid; moisture-rich perfume oil; soap; and a wash card, another naked innovation from Lush which is an alternative to bottled shower gels, easily transportable and made with fresh apple pulp and plastic-free golden lustre.
Sourcing essential oils
The Goddess fragrance features an array of essential oils including jasmine from Egypt, where its cultivation brings new opportunities for female empowerment and social support, oudh from Thailand – one of the most expensive oils in the world, and sandalwood from New Caledonia sourced from wild but sustainably managed trees.
