Over a million journeys

Birthday bus has been a huge success, with over one million journeys in the first year. It’s helped take cars off our congested roads – reducing congestion and tackling the climate crisis, improving perception of buses, and changing long-term travel habits.

West of England Mayor, Dan Norris says “Almost half of everyone who has used Birthday Buses now say they are more likely to use the bus in future. That’s what Birthday Buses has always been about.

These new long term passengers are helping to build a more sustainable bus network going forwards. And that’s vital to tackle those traffic jams and the climate emergency.
