Located in the very heart of Bristol Shopping Quarter and open from 5 November until 23 December, the Christmas market is home to over 40 unique stalls where you’ll find an array of traders selling seasonal delights, crafts and unique items which are perfect for those hunting for that special Christmas gift.

There will also be a wide range of delicious food available, from traditional Bratwurst to crepes, churros and plenty of sweet treats!

Visitors can enjoy heated seating and delicious drinks in the popular Jäger Barn Bar or book exclusive use of one of the private, cosy igloo pods – brand new to the market this year!

There will be a range of live music from local musicians and you may even be lucky enough to meet Santa! Everything takes place underneath a spectacular Christmas tree, adorned with an array of delightful decorations and spectacular lights that welcome you to the Market.

Bristol Local Christmas Market

From Friday 26 November, Bristol Local Christmas Market, located outside M&S, will also be open, offering locally-produced crafts, food and more.

Monday to Saturday 10:30am-6pm
Sunday 10:30am-5pm

Both markets will run until Thursday 23 December.

The Enchanted Snow Maze

Are you ready to enjoy the snowiest place in Bristol, this festive season?

Discover The Enchanted Snow Maze. Head inside the maze and the excitement continues with 10 different topiary yuletide characters for families to spot along the way.

The snowy labyrinth will become even more magical every 15 minutes as two snow machines blast a fresh dusting of snow creating a moment of wonder and awe – as well as that all-important festive photo opportunity!

Cabot Circus’s toy appeal

Donate to Cabot Circus’s toy appeal this Christmas and make a local child smile. Buy and drop off an unwrapped gift, and the team at Cabot Circus will make sure it reaches someone in need.

Visit their Customer Service Desk – pick up a tag, buy a gift and pass it on.

And don’t worry, you don’t need to wrap the present, they’ll do that for you. It’s the actual gift that will make the difference.

Salvation Army

Back for 2021, the Salvation Army musicians from Both Bristol Citadel (Ashley Road) and Bristol Easton (Hassell Drive) bands look forward to bringing the message Christmas to the shoppers of Broadmead.

Commencing 27 November they will be playing Christmas carols between 10:30 and 14:30 each Saturday, please come along to listen, have a sing along and even request your favourites.

They will once again be collecting for the work of The Salvation Army taking place in and around the Bristol area.

Southmead Hospital Charity Buskathon

This December, The Great Bristol Buskathon will return to entertain people across Bristol while raising money for your local NHS through Southmead Hospital Charity.

An exciting variety of performers will be donating their talents to support Southmead Hospital this Christmas.

Enjoy live music at Cabot Circus and The Galleries and please donate whatever you can through the wonderful volunteers with collection buckets or contactless devices.

Rock Choir

Bristol Rock Choir will be singing near Bristol Local Christmas Market from 11am until midday on Saturday 4 December.

Rock Choir has been getting people singing in the UK for over 15 years, and is celebrating its 10th year in Bristol, where over 100 local people meet regularly to sing, dance and socialise. Rock Choir always put on a great show, so come on down to Broadmead to have a listen and sing along. If you like what you hear, the choir are always recruiting new members; you’ll find further information HERE.

Gospel Generation Community Choir

Gospel Generation Community Choir will be singing near Bristol Local Christmas Market on Saturday 11 December between 2 and 4pm.

Gospel Generation Community Choir is made up of five choirs that meet across Bristol. Each choir learns the same songs so they can come together as one big choir to perform. They sing a wide variety of gospel music, some traditional spirituals, contemporary gospel and also some well known chart songs that have the gospel theme of hope at their heart. They’re a friendly non-audition choir and always welcome new members! They say: “We’re very excited to be able to sing again after such a long time!”

Festive pop-up cinema

Does your family just love to settle down with popcorn and watch a movie? If so, why not go along to The Galleries’ Festive Pop-Up Cinema to watch one of your family favourites?

The Pop-Up cinema will be open every weekend from 13 November through to 19 December, with two different films showing every Saturday & Sunday at 11am & 2pm.

The event is free; however, donations are welcomed for Children’s Hospice South West – you’ll also be able to purchase sweets, popcorn and dried fruit in the cinema – with every penny going to the charity! Movie goers are also welcome to bring in food and drink from the centre’s stores and restaurants.

You don’t need to pre-book, however if you’d like to guarantee your seats, a limited number of seats are available to reserve through their cinema booking system for each film showing. Pre-book HERE.

On 14 & 28 November there will be Autism-friendly screenings in the afternoon when sound will be lowered, and numbers limited.

Bristol Pop-Up Shop

The Bristol Etsy Team will be bringing their pop-up shop back to The Galleries this Christmas. Opening on 18 November, the shop showcases designers, artists, and makers based within a 30 mile radius of Bristol. Expect jewellery, fashion, wellness, craft kits, stationery, homewares, illustration, and much more.
