Queen of Cups Supper Club at Harvey Nichols Bristol

Experience a taste of the modern Middle East at Harvey Nichols Bristol with Somerset’s award-winning chef, Ayesha Kalaji.
On Thursday 13 November, join Ayesha Kalaji, the Executive Chef and Founder of Queen of Cups, for an exclusive Middle Eastern Supper Club hosted at the Second Floor Restaurant, Harvey Nichols Bristol.
Supported by the Second Floor team, the evening will showcase Ayesha’s contemporary approach to Middle Eastern cuisine, which is blended with heritage, French flourish and a commitment to Somerset’s local and sustainable produce. The menu will include an array of flavour filled plates made for sharing, including a silky hummus with baharat chilli oil, charred Nabulsi cheese drizzled with QOC Persian black lime honey and Makmoura, a chicken dish from Irbid, Jordan. To complete the experience, guests will be welcomed with a bespoke Silent Pool Gin cocktail, expertly crafted to compliment the menu.
Growing up in rural North Wales, Ayesha used cooking as a means of connecting with her Arabic roots. Summers were spent in Jordan where aunts and grandmothers would teach her traditional recipes and share the dishes of their family forebears. Her studies at SOAS,
University of London, deepened this exploration, where she examined the semiotics of Middle Eastern food and researched recipes reaching back to the Ottoman era.
Since opening Queen of Cups in Glastonbury in 2021, Ayesha has been awarded a Michelin Bib Gourmand and has been shortlisted for two accolades: as Best Newcomer in the Estrella Damm Top 50 Gastropubs gongs and as winner for Best Chef at the Trencherman Awards.
